Leaderboards allow learners to see how they rank within their user groups and across the entire site. Both learners and administrators can quickly identify which users or groups are performing well, or may need additional support.
Enabling leaderboards adds a Leaderboard section to the learner dashboard and the learner report tabs.

Ranking Options
You can choose how rankings are calculated:
- Ranking by Completions: Points are awarded based on completed items.
- Standalone Material: 1 point per completion
- Course: 1 point per course (materials inside the course do not add points)
- Program: 1 point per program (courses and materials inside the program do not add points)
- Ranking by Credit Hours: Points are awarded based on credit hours for completed items.
- Standalone Material: credit hours assigned to the material
- Course: credit hours assigned to the course (materials inside the course do not add hours)
- Program: credit hours assigned to the program (courses and materials inside the program do not add hours)

Leaderboard Visibility
Administrators can decide which leaderboards learners will see:
- Group-level ranking: Learners compare their performance within all user groups they belong to.
- Site-level ranking: Learners compare their performance with all users on the site.
You may enable one or both ranking types.
Important
- Group-level rankings require that a learner belongs to at least one user group.
- If both rankings are enabled, group and site leaderboards appear side by side.

Learner View
- Leaderboards display groups on the left with a dropdown to select each group.
- Learners can toggle between Week, Month, and Year views to see their performance over time.
- Rankings are updated daily at 1:00 AM Central Time. Completions and credit hours earned during the day appear in the leaderboard the following day.

Administrator View
Administrators, instructors, and managers have access to a new report in User Reports called Leaderboard, which mirrors the learner view and allows for oversight of group and site-level performance.
